SCARBOROUGH v LEEDS UNITED

Leeds United visited Scarborough and played before a splendid crowd on the Athletic Ground. Scarborough were the first to to attack and pressed on several occasions, but Rounds had little difficulty in clearing. During the first half Leeds tooka couple of corners, but failed to improve on them and there was no score at the interval.Give-and-take play was the order in the second half. Marsden scored for Scarborough from a penalty after twenty minutes play and four minutes from the close Rogers scored from a penalty kick awarded for handling.
